This was particularly fun to do. I was given creative freedom to produce a short film featuring the new Nissan GT-R in an ice driving event.
I felt that the film needed to be bold and impactful; it really needed to show the pure ferocity of the car as well as its beautiful design.
I selected the music for its distorted build-up (which I accompanied with a “static” overlay from an old VHS tape) and its thudding beats, which I timed the edits to.
I graded the footage to make the red of the car contrast effectively with the surrounding landscape (red being the corporate colour of the client).
